Flood Season EOC Assistance

Description

As flood season approaches we are working to fill our EOC staffing needs, and could use additional assistance from our Emergency Worker Volunteers.

As registered Emergency Worker Volunteers with Skagit County DEM, you are authorized to assist with this need. Examples of positions that may need to be filled include radio operators, food unit, logistics, documentation, sign in/out, translator, call-taker, etc. This would be a great time to brush up on your FEMA ICS training! If you are interested in being considered for this, please respond to this mission and include a note with your anticipated availability and shift preference. It will be an on-call position, but will only occur if the EOC is officially activated as the Skagit River reaches a significant flood stage. If activation is expected, you will be contacted to confirm availability.

Hours are currently unconfirmed, but typically A-Shift is 8am-8pm and B-Shift is 8pm-8am, but this all depends on the event!
