Hello Volunteers! The Samish tribe is looking to recruit Canoe Landing Volunteers tomorrow, July 25th, at Fidalgo Bay Resort. If you are interested in volunteering, your point of contact will be Thea Roe! You can connect with her and let her know your shift preferences!
Here is some information on each position.
Parking - 2-5 pm - The parking team will be in pairs, stationed at the event parking field, resort entrance, and ADA parking lot. They direct arriving cars to the appropriate place to park. In the field, the parking team helps vehicles make the best use of the space.
Floats - 2-7 pm - The float team circulates the venue to empty garbage, keep things tidy, and support other teams as needed. As the event closes out, this team will help with end-of-day cleaning (full cleaning and pack out will be Saturday).
Canoe Carriers - 2-7 pm - This team helps arriving paddlers carry their canoes up onshore. There is a team lead who will train them during the job.
