Join us for a FREE in-person CPR/AED & Basic First Aid and Bloodborne Pathogens training to learn how to recognize and care for a variety of first aid, breathing, and cardiac emergencies involving adults, children and babies.
Please bring your own lunch, water and snacks.
The goal of this course is to teach critical skills to perform Adult and Pediatric Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR), use of an Automated External Defibrillator (AED), Bloodborne Pathogen Training, and providing First Aid in a safe, timely, and efficient manner.
Prerequisites
Participants must be registered Emergency Workers with Skagit County Department of Emergency Management and be within good standing to register. The cost will be covered by Skagit MRC.
COURSE TERMINAL OBJECTIVES
Upon completion of this course, students will be able to:
- Recognize and respond appropriately to cardiac and breathing emergencies.
- Recognize and respond appropriately to first aid emergencies and know how to give immediate care to suddenly injured or ill person until more advanced medical personnel arrive and take over.
- Recognize and respond appropriately to cardiac emergencies using an Automated External Defibrillator (AED)
